2 slices of bread (white, whole grain, sourdough – your choice)
2–4 slices of chicken mortadella
1–2 cheese slices (mozzarella, cheddar, or cream cheese)
1 small tomato (sliced) or a few cherry tomatoes (optional)
1–2 tbsp butter or olive oil (for toasting)
Pinch of oregano or chili flakes (optional)
Fresh basil or parsley (optional garnish)

Toast the Bread:

Lightly butter the bread slices on one side.

Toast in a skillet or sandwich press until golden (or use a toaster if skipping pan-toasting).

Assemble the Toast:

Place cheese on one slice.

Add chicken mortadella slices on top.

Layer tomatoes or any extras (avocado, egg, etc.).

Melt (Optional):

If you want it warm and melty, return the toast (open-faced or closed like a sandwich) to the skillet or oven for 3–5 minutes until the cheese melts.

Sprinkle with oregano, chili flakes, or herbs.
